Race conditions
A set of variables that stipulate the conditions that participants in a race have to meet (e.g. age, sex, earnings, distance, and speciality). Example: a race for 4 year old horses not having won €35,000 – Distance: 2850 metres.

An unorthodox gait which is prohibited in a trotting race. Racking is characterized by the horse trotting with its fore legs and galloping with its hind legs. It leads to disqualification.
